What are the best fishing knots for saltwater fishing rigs?

i thought about not answering because most pll can’t tie it, the bimini twist. ant this anit hard at all, the no name knot.

That would be a uni-knot. Easy to tie, high strength, and can be used for multiple applications (like tying lines together, making leaders etc.).

Almost the only knot I ever tie is an improved clinch knot:

It’s simple to tie and you can use it for hooks, swivels, and lures. If you want to join two pieces of line, use a blood knot:

A blood knot is really just two clinch knots back to back. If you ever want to tie a multiple-hook rig, use a dropper loop:

There are a number of knots used in fishing in saltwater. The bimini twist is used for creating a double line to attach your leader too in most instances and it really cuts down on the breakoffs. If using a circle hook, you need to snell the hook with the line going in on the side of the hook that the point is on, that insures a corner of the mouth hook up. Fisherman’s knots a good in some instances. There are many different knots for many applications, and when using real heavy line, crimping is the answer. Uni to uni knots are used for tying two different diameter lines to each other, the list goes on, just ask around for what is the best knot for each situation, and remember, you will find as many oppinions as you will find fishermen.
