thanks good knot im getting into fly fishing now and does anyone know if i can use a uni knot for tieing my flies to my tippet cus i can do that knot in 2 seconds and have been using it for a long time

I started using it …
I started using it on trout thinking it was a nice little knot. Then, in Montana, we used it on some berzerk Bighorn River trout up to 23 inches and it held up great!
Back in Minnesota, we were fishing walleyes a couple years later and my brother told me that this is the only knot he uses. I tied jigs, plugs, spinnerbaits – just about anything you can fish with, and it holds up very well.
The big advantage the simplicity and speed. I still use some of the others, but overall, this is it!

i use that knot …
i use that knot when my hands are cold or when i get frustrated because it is easy, i had no idea it was better than the fisherman’s knot.

The biggest fish …
The biggest fish I”ve caught on this know was a 24″ Bighorn rainbow with 2# test.
Otherwise, all streamer smallmouth up to 21 inches, but I’m running #8 test on those, so it shouldn’t break (Maxima Super Soft).
I use a loop knot for my poppers referred to elsewhere on my site.
