I use soft plastics and have real good luck. I especially like the Wave Worms. You cast to cover, let it sink and slowly raise your rod tip and allow it to sink again. Just keep repeating this until you've retrieved it back to shore/boat. I find the action to be excellent. Most bites occur when your presentation is sinking. In warmer water bass are more active and will go after top water lures. Weather has a deal on what colors to use. For example if it is sunny with no clouds you want to use something shiney something with a copper or silver finish. If it is cloudy you want to use something thats not i like to use chartreuse in cloudy weather.
