Yes this was plan B …
Yes this was plan B, I guess it came down to how many holes he wanted in his hand….Also with the way the fly was tied it would have been difficult to push far enough thru to expose the barb. Thanks for the input!

Push the barb point …
Push the barb point back out the skin. Then get some wire cutters and cut off the barb. Then you can remove it backwards from out of the wound.
