It’s easier a lot …
It’s easier a lot of times to run the tag end through the hook, then double it into a loop and run it back through; instead of trying to push a loop through the eye of a hook or bait. Great knot your line will almost always fail before this knot will.

I’ve fished for 35 …
I’ve fished for 35 years and the palomar knot is the most reliable line/leader to hook knot I’ve ever used. It never fails.
