There is a fairly new and highly controversial wave in today’s hobby fishing industry. And it is called topless fishing. The U.S. has its won topless fishing ports, which is most popular in Florida shores. And it’s not really that surprising because Florida is the place where the best fishing experiences happen. Enjoy the water and the girls in the area. What’s more, the girls who work as a deckhand in your rented yacht are topless. What else could top that? The State of Florida is famous for many things. The waters surrounding the cities are the main tourist attractions of the place. And so all of the businesses and shops around Florida are directly related to the seas. The rentals of fishing charters with topless girls are just one of the most successful businesses in the area.
In fact, one fishing charter docked in one of Florida’s ports has started on the idea to put ladies as deckhands instead of the regular men. Now their service seems totally different. Instead of regular crews and captains, beautiful girls would be greeting the guests. But don’t get it wrong. These women know fishing more than most men do.
The idea became a hit indeed. Now, sports fishers have found a way to enjoy the waters and their hobby more. With the option to hire beautiful girls as their guide, they can definitely have the type of adult fun that they want while enjoying regular a fishing spree. So these topless fishing charters, no matter how pricey, are always booked full. It is a very good business indeed in Florida’s public docks.
However, the owners of Fishing charters normally state that if their girls choose to take off their tops, it is not really their call. What they provide to fishing customers as a standard are bikini-clad sexy girls serving them with drinks, foods, and sandwiches while they are fishing over the waters. The girls are also tasked to help them with their lines, baits, and lures. These girls can do what a regular fishing mate can do. The only difference is that they’re women, they’re sexy, and they are wearing skimpy beach outfits.
However, this innovative type of business doesn’t go without controversy, especially at Florida shores. These girls that work aboard the ship are not forced to go topless. But guests can certainly request for it for an extra charge. Furthermore, the girls are only allows to take their bikini tops off after the boat had sailed miles away from the shore. And while topless fishing is accepted, the owners implement a no-sex, no-touch policy aboard their ships.
Charters like this are the favorite venues for events like a boy’s night out and stag parties. The owners say that when the business is good, they would enjoy full booking for the whole month. But they still have to work in promoting their business. The creation and distribution of brochures is important. They usually put them in restaurant racks and other spots where there are lots of first-time tourists and foot traffic.

In the state of Texas, 2 licenses are needed. The first is called the Conservation license. This is a prerequisite a person must have before being allowed to obtain a Fishing license.
The Conservation license can be obtained from the Fish, Wildlife & Parks or FWP. This is done by giving one’s social security number and other information that is requested. A valid driver’s license or any valid ID with photo must also be presented for security purposes for the license to be processed.
Once that is done, a fishing license can be acquired which is neither non-transferable nor non-refundable and is only valid for one year.
Fish that are normally caught in Texas are flounder, trout and sheepshead.
Here are some tips that will help anyone who wants to go fishing in Texas;
1. The first thing to do is get the right equipment: a good boat, fishing rod, reels and bait.
2. If one is not familiar with the place, it is best to ask the locals where the best fishing ground is then start from there.
3. Hooks can be in different sizes. The right hook for fishing is dependent on the kind of bait that will be used.
4. To prevent injury especially when taking out the fish caught in the hook, it is advisable to do it using wet hands.
5. The primary source of food for Seagulls is fish. If there is a flock in one area it means that place is good for fishing. One should approach quietly and set the bait and just wait for the fish to start coming in.
6. Some fish stray when the water is clear but it is quite difficult since the fish can also see the bait. To be able to catch more fish, the best place to do it is in deep water.
7. It is also advisable to try a variety of bait when fishing. Some fish can easily be caught with one kind while others are not. It takes practice to get it right and patience for the fish to come out and haul it in.

If you are considering taking up fly fishing as a hobby then two of the reasons probably include enjoying the beauty of nature and breathing in the beautiful fresh air. Fly fishing is one of the sports where you can truly enjoy the nature around you and experience the calming effect of the water.
There is no speed involved with things flying by you too fast to notice, there is no rush to go anywhere, and there are no guarantees that you will catch any fish.
These attributes of fly fishing make it an ideal weekend or vacation sports if your purpose is to be outside in nature and fully relax far away from the hustle and bustle of normal day to day life.
The fly fishing rod is lighter and shorter than the average rod used for other types of fishing. These rods are on average around 9 feet long with a weight of about 5 ounces. However, the length of the rod will depend on the size of the stream that you want to fish in. Smaller streams will require that you purchase and use a shorter rod.
The fly fishing line is usually heavier than the usual line used for other types of fishing. These lines are manufactured to either float on the surface of the water or to sink into the water.
The fly lure that you choose will depend on the type of fishing that you want to do and the species of fish that you want to catch.
Some fish seek their food from amongst objects that float on the water surface and to catch these fish your lure needs to mimic floating insects. Other fish get their food from objects in the water and to catch those you lure needs to mimic those objects.
The experience fly fisherman always carries a wide selection of Fishing lure because what worked yesterday might not necessarily work today.
With fly fishing, the time of the day, the temperature of the water, the glare of the sun on the surface of the water, the speed of the water in the stream, and other factors determine what type of lure will work.
Fly fishing is such an established sport that the fishing lures have been divided into official categories. These are the dry flies and emergers, the nymphs, the streamers, the wet flies, the saltwater flies, the bass and panfish flies, and these salmon and steelhead flies.
Enjoying fly fishing requires a little bit of preparation and knowledge acquisition and thereafter it is learning from experience whilst enjoying the beauty and serenity of nature.

One of the most popular fish targeted when deep sea fishing is Yellowtail. The California Yellowtail along with the Southern Yellowtail, which is its cousin, are Jack family members. Both are very tough customers for reel and rod.
Where To Find Them
The Yellowtail is to be found in central California and down south into the tropical waters. In fact, this fish have been a staple in the Pacific fishery for a lot of years already.
How To Fish
Just like with most other kinds of fish, you have a variety of ways to choose from in able to fish for yellowtail. A number of lures and baits would be needed such as squids, sardines, mackerels and the most preferred one, anchovy.
Jig Fishing Technique For Yellowtail
Jig fishing for this fish could be very fun and is considered to be very productive by most people. The Yo-Yo jig can be done by using a four to twelve ounce candy-bar type of jig. Once you have the jig, drop it to the bottom, which is usually not any deeper than 200 feet.
When you feel that you already hit the bottom, try to lift your jig off of it for four to five feet. Repeat this several times, then being followed by a very fast retrieve all the way up to the surface.
It is important to remember that it doesn’t matter how fast you are cranking, since the yellowtail would always be much faster than you. Once you feel that you’re bit, then there’s no mistaking it. Once this happens, don’t set the hook and just continue reeling. Once you feel that your catch is already swimming away from you, then that’s the time that you should set the hook.
Jig fishing enables you to fish using a much heavier line than your bait. A 30 to 50 lb. test usually works pretty well. When yellowtails are feeding on the surface or near it, they would sometimes take surface iron.
Surface irons are jigs weighing 4 ounces or less. They are retrieved with a much slower speed than the other kinds of jigs. Using a live squid is the much preferred bait with this kind of jig. In fact, when yellowtails feed on squid, they have the tendency to ignore all the other baits.
Using A Fishing Squid
Using a fishing squid is quite simple. All you have to do is either tie the hook directly to the line or make use of a sliding sinker which is right on the bait. However, the size of the weight you’ll be using is usually dictated by factors and conditions like currents and depth.
Find the pointed end of the squid and place the hook once through it. However, take note that when Fishing with squid, even small yellowtails are able to swallow it quickly. That is why you should not let them swim far before you decide to set the hook.
Using Anchovies
If you’ll be using anchovy, then you should either hook through its nose or behind its gill, specifically on its bony collar. They are weak swimmers, which is why you would want to make use of smaller line and hooks.
Using Sardines
When you’ll be using sardines, you can make use of the same rig. However, this time around, you should put your hook through the sardine’s nose or on its bottom, just behind its vent. Your bait would tend to swim deeper, if you hook it on its bottom.
